Baggage Loss, Flight and Travel Accident

Interruptions in the trip due to baggage loss/damage or flight/travel accident are quite troublesome. myTravel-insurance aims at providing hassle-free trips by providing comprehensive coverage for baggage loss, damage, flight, and travel accident at affordable rates.


Travelling to Canada

In this insurance, you are entitled to

Baggage Loss and damage coverage:

  • Up to $100 in total per trip for the replacement of a lost or stolen passport, driver’s license, birth certificate, or travel visa.

  • Up to $500 in total per trip for necessary toiletries and clothing when your checked luggage is delayed by the carrier for at least 10 hours while you are en route. This benefit is payable only when the delay happens before your return home.

  • Up to $300 per trip for any item or set of items that is lost or damaged while you are en route to a maximum of $1,000. Jewelry or cameras (including camera equipment) are respectively considered a single item.

  • If a traveler reaches the destination and finds out that his/her baggage is not reached yet and is informed by the airline that baggage will get delayed then in that case the airline is bound to pay a specific amount included in insurance which helps travelers to compensate the time with an amount, my travel insurance pays up to $500 as an insurance to the travelers if baggage got delayed.

Flight and Travel accident coverage:

  • If an injury sustained during your trip causes you to die, become completely and permanently blind in both eyes, or to have two of your limbs fully severed above your wrist or ankle joint in the 12 months after the accident, insurance will pay

a) $50,000 under Travel Accident insurance; or

b) $100,000 under Flight Accident insurance;

  • If an injury sustained during your trip causes you to become completely and permanently blind in one eye or have one of your limbs fully severed above a wrist or ankle joint in the 12 months after the accident, insurance will pay: a) $25,000 under Travel Accident insurance; or b) $50,000 under Flight Accident insurance.

  • If you have more than one injury during your trip, insurance will pay the applicable insured sum only for the one accident that entitles you to the largest benefit amount insurance plans for baggage loss/damage and flight/travel accident provide the above-stated benefits but all benefits have some limitations, exclusions, conditions, and other terms that may limit the reimbursement to which you are entitled.
